Duncan Urquhart and Naphtali Hart were Jewish silversmiths who worked in Georgian London in the 1790s. They registered their first maker’s mark as buckle manufacturers at the London Goldsmiths’ office in 1791. In addition to buckles, Urquhart and Hart specialized in creating exquisite and refined silver tea sets, a production that brought great prestige to their brand.
