When Wirkkala, in the mid-1960s, designed his first objects for Venini, he was already a world-renowned designer who had worked in various design sectors.
It was Tapio Wirkkala who enhanced the “Incalmo” technique, which he often combined with “mezzafiligrana” and “murrine” thanks to the skill of VENINI’s Master Glassmakers and the rich color palette.
His works are present in major museums around the world.
